If you’ve driven down Northeast Alberta recently, you may have noticed a colorful new addition.

The newest Electric Lettuce has officially opened for business at 1313 NE Alberta Street, brightening the bustling neighborhood with an extra dose of good vibes and the trademark, psychedelic paint job. Neighbors, Portlanders and tourists alike are now able to include a heightened retail experience inspired by the golden era of classic cannabis culture when enjoying the Alberta arts district.

Groundworks Industries acquired the former dispensary, Alberta Greenhouse, earlier this year before updating the historic home into the 7th location of the Electric Lettuce chain. The Alberta opening precedes two other Electric Lettuces on the horizon—Hillsboro and Eugene. The groovy branding and welcoming, laid-back atmosphere have made it an easy and instant home-away-from-home for a huge portion of Oregonian consumers. Electric Lettuce seems destined to be the neighborhood pot shop for every neighborhood.

This announcement follows the acquisition by Groundworks Industries of Five Zero Trees retail operations, Cola Cove, and the signing of an agreement to acquire Rose City Wellness. As a leader in brand recognition, compliance and cultivation science, Groundworks’ thoughtful acquisitions are an investment in its mission to strengthen Oregon’s market, increase opportunities and transform the perception of the cannabis industry.

Established in Portland in 2014, Groundworks Industries employs over 200 Oregonians.
